OK- so I am really slack

I just went onto my blog from Eliz. I noticed that it has been 9 months since my last post. OOPS!!!! Things are just really busy at my house. Laura Davis demands a lot of attention. Everyone says that it is just because she is the second child. She really makes me laugh. She has the best since of humor. I can't believe that I laugh so much at a 20 month old. I am working part time at my school and I love it. During this hours when I work, LD goes to preschool for 2 days and Price goes 5 days. Price is in this class called transitional kindergarten. It has been WONDERFUL!!! She has learned so much this year. I am supposed to register her for Kindergarten next week but I don't know if I will be able to bring myself to do it. My mom said that she will take her if I need her to. I would really love to have her home with me for another year. She is definitely ready to go but I surely am not.

I am trying to think of what all has been going on with me since my last post. A lot I guess. LD turned 1 and Price turned 5. My girls are getting so big!! For Price's birthday my in laws gave her a trip for 6 to the great wolf lodge. It is now April and we haven't been but I am really looking forward to going. Will just works all the time so finding time for him to take off to go with us is about impossible. Speaking of Will, he is in Africa right now on a mission trip. I talked to him 3 times yesterday. His last message was to ask me to DVR the Masters. I guess some things will never change.

The girls and I went to the zoo this weekend with some WONDERFUL college friends. I had the best time and all the kids were so well behaved. It was so much fun seeing my friends with their kids. For the most part, the kids were all like the parents. Hunter talks like Ricks, Alisons were quiet like her, Owen looks just like Aaron, and Price is social and still talking about her friend Nadia she met a the playground. Wonder where she gets that from??? It was so much fun. I can't wait to meet up with everyone again.

I will try to do better about updating my blog. Since it has been so long I really don't know what else to say. I can't upload pictures right now because Will has my camera in Africa. I will try to update some in the near future.

July 2009

We started the July 4th weekend on Friday installing an invisible fence for the 2 dogs. This was my idea because I am so tired of dog hair and cleaning up dog poop. Morgan, the yellow lab, poops in the house almost every night. We were not going to buy the invisible fence brand so we bought the Lowes brand that you have to install yourself. It took Will all day on Friday to install it. We were almost all the way through when we realized that we needed about 10 more feet of wire. I had to go back to Lowes to get that.

I am in charge of training the dogs since I am here all day. Well, that sounded better in theory. I took Missy, the black lab, out first. I had watched the video on how to train them so I thought I was prepared. I wasn't. I took Missy towards the flag and she jumped to high heaven. This completely freaked me and her both out. She then ran between my legs and wouldn't leave me. Maybe my training is done. Now Morgan on the other hand was different. When it shocked her, she just blinked and it didn't really phase her. I think this whole process was harder on me that them. I was so sad when Missy got scared.

The next day I took Missy out to try again and she stayed with her tail tucked tightly between her legs. It was so sad. I hope this invisible fence works.

On Saturday we spend the day at the lake. We had a great time there watching the fireworks. Seeing all the boats on the lake with their red and green lights on watching fireworks is something to see.

This week we have vacation bible school. Price is having a good time. I am leading the recreation part. So far it hasn't been nearly as hot as it could be so I am very happy for that. I can't believe that my baby will be one at the end of the month. Where has the time gone?? During the middle of the night I feel like she has been here forever but during the day, time has flown by.

Father's Day at the lake

We had fathers day with my family last Thursday at my parents house. I alwasy forget to take pictures. Will's family is much better at taking them. Here is a picture of his family at the lake. They called me and Price off the jet ski to take this. That is why I look really nice with a towel wrapped around me.

Summer

Things have been really busy this summer so far. I keep my sisters kids after school every day so I haven't really had a lot of free time to update my blog. Price started out the summer doing swim team but she couldn't quite get the handg of it so I withdrew her. I wouldn't normally do that but I just felt like she was holding the others back. She was the only one who couldn't swim a whole lap. I really think that she will get it soon and we can get back on the team. She is so sad she does not get to go to practice everyday.

Laura Davis is getting bigger and bigger. She is sleeping much better now and is sleeping through the night more nights then not. I am so proud of her. She moves around every where. She can stand on her on for just a second then falls down. She walks by holding onto things. Her new favorite is to play in the toilet when I am not looking. I have gotten better at putting the lid down but we still forget sometimes.

For some reason my computer is not scanning my SD card so I can't download pictures but I will as soon as I get it to work.

Saturday

Today is such a nice day outside. We started off the day with going to Price's soccer game. She did so good. Normally she just watches the ball and is about 10 feet behind it chasing whoever has it but today she did really well. She almost scored a goal.

We just got back from the pool, indoor of course but and outdoor one would have felt really good. Price and I are just sitting here watching HSM 3 and Dora while Laura Davis is taking a nap. It has been a fun day with the girls while Will is playing golf. Tomorrow we are headed to the lake for the day after church.
